Job Captain

The ideal candidate has the ability and aptitude to move forward a set of drawings in all phases, independently with the appropriate level of documentation-notations, including dimensions, keynotes, and labels. Candidates should also understand applicable building codes and building accessibility requirements and be able to effectively communicate with members of their team, city agencies, clients, and consultants. Applicants should also have the ability to work on multiple projects and maintain effective communication and quality control.
Senior Designer
ADC is in search of a seasoned design professional that is passionate about solving complex design problems while pushing the boundaries of construction innovation. They must be creative, proactive, highly motivated, and can effectively mentor junior staff. They must demonstrate the ability to plan, schedule, work independently, and feel comfortable directing the work of others. They should have the ability to manage projects and lead others while working within the project budgets and schedules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for success.
The ideal candidate can plan and design layouts for buildings, interiors, and/or exterior scope of work, depending on the scope of work of the project. They work under the direct supervision of licensed Architects and interact with clients to gather design requirements, specifications, and budgets for the projects. They initiate design concepts, lead design development, solve design problems creatively, and perform preliminary code analysis.
Candidates should also be able to use creativity and imagination to develop new insights into situations and apply new solutions to problems. They must possess the ability to work on multiple projects and maintain effective communication and quality control. They will assist in the technical aspects to ensure design integrity.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience as a Designer
- An architectural degree is preferred, but a combination of required education and experience is accepted.
- Architectural license preferred but not required
- Travel may be required
- Advanced knowledge in AutoCAD or REVIT, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, & In Design
- Advanced knowledge of building code requirements, construction practices, and how to apply detail and specify them.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.

Project Manager
(Project Manager & Senior Project Manager)
ADC is looking for a strong Project Manager (PM) who excels at being a leader & mentor. We are looking for a PM with the aptitude to manage and oversee the entire process of a project. The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written skills, have the ability to be flexible when teaching others, and be a highly successful multi-tasker. Applicants should be proactive, responsive, highly motivated, and possesses excellent time management skills.
PMs are responsible for leading the project team, which includes some administrative functions. The PM is responsible for the overall supervision of assigned projects. PMs must ensure that the project conforms to the contractual agreement between ADC, our client, and consultants. PMs are responsible for understanding and fulfilling the client program requirements, which include deliverables, attending meetings, and possibly traveling. Applicants must be able to monitor project receivables, review billings, read and understand project reports, and assist in collections. PMs read and write contracts, proposals, and additional services.
The PM leads multiple projects and teams and manages the balance between design and technical solutions. They are responsible for standards of care and the quality of the project. They will review their staff’s drawings and specifications and give their honest input on them to ensure their completeness, correctness, and coordination. PMs are also responsible for making sure that corrections and clarifications are made if required.
