The Northern California project is a shopping mall in San Francisco that is going under future renovation. The design team was charged with renovating the food court and center court of the mall that would create spaces for increased dwell time for the customer. In the food court, a new approach was used to engage the customer by implementing a hospitality section with soft seating and low lighting for a tasteful and moody vibe. Surrounding the hospitality section is a hierarchy of seating that allows the customer to have the option to have a quick lunch or a chance to relax and enjoy their meal.
