ADC worked closely with the client to improve the mall’s dated conditions. Inspired by the mall’s close proximity to the ocean, the team reiterated elements of a beach front scenery in the design of the center court. The tile design took a simple pattern and integrated a mixture of blue toned colors in different finishes for a unique tile approach that mimics the ocean and its movement. The polished tile glistens alongside the wooden plank tiles which take subtle design notes from a pier. The new variety of seating options helped break up the space while offering the customer places to gather and dwell. At the food court, warm tiles and dark accent colors were added that translate throughout the property. New furniture adds pops of color, and screens are included to differentiate the food court from the rest of the mall.
