Ala Moana Building

Ala Moana Building

Facts: New lobby design, New common area FF&E, New Signage and way-finding

Architecture Design Collaborative (ADC) led the design for this commercial building renovation project in Honolulu, HI. The scope was to bring the currently outdated interiors up to a Class A office environment. New finishes on all flooring, wall, and ceiling surfaces on each level were proposed to be implemented throughout the common areas. The elevator and lobby design improvements in addition to brand new signage design criteria would give the office tenants and visitors a revitalized experience throughout the tower. ADC was charged to create fresh, upscale office aesthetics with economical solutions. It was critical to connect the designs to the environment and pay homage to the culture surrounding the location. Using materials that tied with the Hawaiian palette of colors and textures, the design was intended to be a contemporary approach at preserving historic ideals.
