Rodeo 72: Crafting a Dynamic Culinary Destination

Architecture Design Collaborative is thrilled to showcase the recently completed Rodeo 72, a vibrant food hall experience that redefines communal dining. This important project involved a comprehensive interior tenant improvement, transforming the building into a bustling hub of culinary diversity. Our design for this unique venue focused on creating an immersive atmosphere. Individually branded vendors and a striking central bar invite exploration and connection. The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces enhances the unique character of this food hall.

Designing Distinct Identities within the Food Hall

A key element of Rodeo 72’s project design was the creation of 15 unique tenant spaces, with individually curated storefronts for each vendor. These were meticulously designed to reflect their specific brand identity and culinary offerings. This approach also involved full kitchen designs tailored to the operational needs of each tenant, thereby ensuring functionality without compromising on aesthetic appeal. As visitors move through the venue, they encounter a rich tapestry of styles and atmospheres.

The Central Bar: A Focal Point for the Venue

At the heart of the food hall lies a large, commanding central bar. Designed with seating on all four sides, it therefore serves as a natural gathering point. Beyond this, it is a visual anchor for the entire space, consequently encouraging interaction and providing a vibrant social hub. The bar’s strategic placement and open design thus ensure it is an integral part of the overall energy. In fact, patrons can soak in the surrounding ambiance while enjoying their refreshments.

Blurring the Lines Between Indoors and Outdoors

A standout feature of Rodeo 72’s design is its embrace of the indoor-outdoor relationship. A harmonious connection to the outdoors is established by three giant glass bi-fold doors that were installed as part of the base building design. These expansive openings allow natural light to flood the interior and create an effortless flow to exterior seating areas. Complementing this are multiple seating types and configurations that intertwine throughout the space, offering patrons a variety of dining experiences. Whether preferring the buzz near the vendors or a more relaxed spot, its design caters to diverse preferences, all while maintaining a connection to the outdoors.

The transformation of this venue stands as a testament to innovative design that prioritizes both individual vendor identity and cohesive communal experience. From the bespoke storefronts to the inviting central bar and the fluid indoor-outdoor transitions, every aspect of Rodeo 72 was thoughtfully considered. Ultimately, the goal was to create a premier destination for food enthusiasts.
