Project Overview
Architecture Design Collaborative (ADC) has transformed a former 7,000 SF Hard Rock Café into a stunning Tommy Bahama retail store and restaurant in Lahaina, Hawaii. This tenant improvement project showcases ADC’s expertise in creating a harmonious blend of retail and dining experiences.
Design Features
Breathtaking Views: The new Tommy Bahama store offers dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean and the island of Lanai, creating an immersive tropical atmosphere.
Innovative Layout: Within the existing metal building, a slightly raised sales floor overlooks the restaurant and bar seating areas, as well as two new exterior patios. This design creates a seamless flow between shopping and dining experiences.
Thoughtful Aesthetics: Existing wood finishes were complemented and fully coordinated with crisp new finishes, retail display fixtures, and furniture, maintaining Tommy Bahama’s signature island-inspired style.
Challenges and Solutions
The project required special care during the design and construction phases due to its location atop an archaeologically sensitive site in a historic area of Lahaina.
