Joey Fitzjerrells
Job Captain
B.Arch, Woodbury University
“I like thinking through how a space will look and feel, how people will actually use it, and how each decision contributes to the larger idea.”
From Concept to Built Experience
Joey works across both the design and documentation sides of projects at ADC, helping turn ideas into clear, coordinated project information. As a Job Captain, his work includes architectural renderings, Revit construction documents, and design packages, allowing him to contribute from early concepts through technical development.
He is especially drawn to the beginning of a project, when ideas are still taking shape. Visualization and rendering are an important part of that process because they help make a concept tangible before it is built and give clients and project teams a clear way to understand the design direction.
Joey approaches design by considering both the overall experience and the details that make it work. He pays attention to how people will move through a space, how it will look and feel, and whether each decision supports the larger idea. He also enjoys solving the practical and technical challenges that keep a design functional, buildable, and true to its intent.
He has a particular interest in residential design and enjoys thinking about spaces from the client’s point of view. Outside the office, Joey stays creative through art, music, photography, and new technology, and enjoys sports, traveling, DJing, exploring new food and places, and spending time with family and friends.
