The Wave

The Wave

Architecture Design Collaborative (ADC) has worked on the Perimeter Mall renovation project in its entirety. Led by Craig Chinn, AIA and Alexandra Gomez, The Wave project was intended to provide a dynamic lighting solution to a dim lit corridor on the 2nd floor of the Macy’s wing of Perimeter Mall. Working with a limited budget, the intent was to design a creative light source through readily available products that could still be attractive in design while providing little to no customization in production. The result was a series of Birchwood linear lights centered on its axis but hung at alternating heights at either end producing a parametric form. As the shoppers walk through the space, the lights provide a gentle wave-like experience through its illumination.
