Dialogue restaurant in Santa Monica with intimate counter seating and open kitchen, architecture by Architecture Design Collaborative

Client: Linwood Ventures

Project Facts: 600 SF · 18 Seats · Restaurant · Open Kitchen

Project Year: 2017

Project Role: Architecture + Interior Design

Tucked inside Gallery Food Hall on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade, Dialogue was an intimate 600-square-foot, 18-seat restaurant created for James Beard Award-winning chef Dave Beran. ADC worked with Beran, landlord Linwood Ventures, and interior design firm Rugo/Raff to turn the compact space into an open kitchen and dining experience built around direct interaction between the chefs and guests.

ADC carried the project through coordination with the tenant, landlord, contractors, inspectors, and City officials, helping move the highly specialized restaurant from design through construction and opening. Dialogue opened in 2017 and later earned a Michelin star.
