Pelican Harbor is a 42-unit affordable senior housing community in Huntington Beach designed by ADC for Jamboree Housing Corporation. The four-story building provides one-bedroom homes for low-income seniors, including permanent supportive housing for residents transitioning from homelessness.

The project sits on a compact 0.78-acre site along Beach Boulevard. ADC developed a Craftsman-influenced architectural character that responds to the surrounding Huntington Beach community while organizing the residences around shared amenity and service spaces. Below-grade parking helps preserve the limited site area for the building and outdoor uses.

More than 4,000 SF is dedicated to property management, supportive services, a computer room, meeting spaces, and resident gathering areas. A 2,300 SF outdoor courtyard and pet area extend those community spaces outdoors. The architecture brings housing, resident services, and shared amenities together in one building to support seniors aging in place within their existing community.

The project was recognized before construction with a 2022 SAGE Award for Best 55+ Special Needs Community On-the-Boards. Following completion, Pelican Harbor received additional recognition from both the SAGE 55+ Housing Council and the PCBC Gold Nugget Awards.
