DC designed the interior of Pink’s Hot Dogs at Camarillo Premium Outlets as a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s historic Los Angeles roots. Rather than creating a generic fast-casual restaurant, the design draws directly from the character and visual language of the original Pink’s location on La Brea.

The dining area balances nostalgia with a more modern retail environment. One side features a brick-lined wall celebrating the many celebrities associated with Pink’s, while the opposite side introduces a contemporary Los Angeles map graphic highlighting the original restaurant location. A brass Hollywood Walk of Fame-style star at the entry reinforces the connection to the brand’s Hollywood history.

The kitchen and service area were also designed as part of the storytelling. ADC referenced Pink’s original hot dog cart with a scalloped awning treatment and illuminated hot dog graphics wrapping the counter area. Custom booths use red-and-white striped upholstery as another nod to the umbrellas and visual character associated with the historic stand.

The result translates an iconic Los Angeles restaurant into a shopping-center setting while retaining the personality, history, and recognizable details that make Pink’s distinctive
