Open-air marble bar at Tommy Bahama Fashion Valley looking across the mall court toward neighboring storefronts

Client: Tommy Bahama

Project Facts: 7,200 SF · Retail and Marlin Bar

Project Year: 2021

Project Role: Architecture + Interior Design

ADC provided architecture and interior design for Tommy Bahama’s Fashion Valley location in San Diego, combining retail and dining within the brand’s casual coastal identity. The tenant improvement transformed an existing storefront and adjacent pedestrian area into a hybrid store and Marlin Bar, with a quick-service kitchen, outdoor bar, and generous patio seating. The design opened the space to the mall and activated an area that had previously functioned mainly as circulation. Bright interiors, island-inspired finishes, and a strong indoor-outdoor relationship allow shopping, dining, and socializing to feel like a single experience.
