Gran Plaza Outlets is a ground-up outlet retail destination in Calexico, positioned directly along the U.S.-Mexico border and serving shoppers from Imperial Valley, Mexicali, and the surrounding region. ADC provided architecture for approximately 350,000 square feet of outlet retail, helping establish the first phase of a larger regional shopping destination.
ADC also designed many of the individual tenant build-outs within the center, coordinating the architectural character of the development with the requirements of national retailers. Gran Plaza Outlets opened in 2013 and quickly became a significant cross-border retail destination.
