The Lawn at First Colony Mall

ADC transformed an underused outdoor court at First Colony Mall in Sugar Land into The Lawn, a flexible gathering space designed for everyday use and special events. The project replaced an aging fountain with artificial turf, lawn games, movable furniture, and a new structure incorporating a large digital screen. The space can shift between casual seating, movie nights, sporting events, holiday programming, farmers markets, and other property activations. By replacing a fixed landscape feature with adaptable amenities, the design gives the mall a more active outdoor destination that supports dining, shopping, and community programming throughout the year.
